Join us on May 12 as we welcome Krista Park, EC-SAR Coordinator of Training and Operations at Eckerd College.
Krista grew up in Algonquin, Illinois, where her passion for the water began through time spent on lakes and rivers and visits to the Shedd Aquarium. That passion ultimately led her to Eckerd College, where she became deeply involved in the Search and Rescue team during all four years of her studies.
She graduated in 2022 with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Environmental Studies, earning certifications as a Boat Captain, Operations Coordinator, and Basic Life Support Unit Leader. Shortly after graduation, Krista joined EC-SAR as the Supervisor of Maintenance and Operations and was promoted within a year to Coordinator of Training and Operations.
In her current role, Krista oversees EC-SAR student members by organizing training schedules, planning drills, and mentoring the next generation of search and rescue professionals. She takes…
